Pretty happy with how he came out. I took a risk with the layered glazes and glaze inclusions but it did exactly what I was hoping it would do. There’s movement and flow to the glaze like waterfalls over a mountainside.

This one was a fun one to make and glaze. The first picture shows the bisqued piece. The white rock like inclusions are actually sintered (low fired) glaze I added to the clay as I built the object.

Layered glaze and inclusion tests

For some tests I layered more than one glaze. For other tests I incorporated small chunks of glaze into the clay.

I've been mostly focused on functional glazes but this last semester I decided to try making non-functional special effect glazes - craters, crawls, metallics. I even combined some because why not ✨

I always have a lot of containers on hand filled with glaze tests. These food containers are perfect for a 100g batch.
